 Rashtrapati Bhawan is the residence of the President of India. The magnificent structure is located near Rajpath , at the west end of New Delhi . Rashtrapati Bhawan is considered as the World's Largest Presidential Palace .

Rashtrapati Bhawan was constructed for establishing permanent capital of India to New Delhi by the British Viceroys . This splendid building was marked as an empire in stone .The monument was designed by Edwin Landseer Lutyens . Rashtrapati Bhawan was initially named as Viceroys House . Although , It was renamed as Rashtrapati Bhawan by The first President of India , Dr. Rajendra Prasad . The Rashtrapati Bhawan is used to store and protect Construction of India and is the residence of President of India . The construction of the palace was completed in 1929 and and is built in an area of 130 hectare .The whole structure is made in Mughal and European style of architecture .The Rashtrapati Bhawan comprises of 340 halls . The most popular and magnificent hall is the Durbar Hall . The other famous halls are Ashoka Hall , Marble Hall and North Drawing Room . All of the halls are decorated in a blend of Mughal and European style . The Bhawan features a huge Dome . The Dome is constructed in a similar manner as the famous Sanchi Stupa .This dome adds glitter to the Rashtrapati Bhawan . 


This vast structure is also famous for its amazing Mughal Garden . The garden is so grand and offers impressive views . The garden consists of two runways from North to South and East to West . There are around six lotus structured fountains placed at every crossway of the two runways . This garden comprises of different varieties of indigenous and exotic flowers . The Mughal Garden is most visited in blooming season . The Rashtrapati Bhawan looks more beautiful in the night when the monument is lit up .
