Trimula Venkateswara Temple is a Hindu Temple at Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. This holy shrine is commonly known as Tirupati Balaji Temple, Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple .This temple is dedicated to God Venkateswara , one of the form of lord Vishnu .

The Temple lies on the seventh peak of  Seshachalam Hills, Venkatadri and thus also known as  Temple of Seven Hills . These hills are the part of Tirumala Range and represent the seven heads of Adisesha . The holy place is constructed  in Dravidian Style of Architecture in 300AD . Many different kings of Tirupati built this temple . In the Garbagruha of the temple lies the Sanctorum , called AnandaNilayam . The holy diety, Venkateswara lies in the east of Garbhagruha . the diety is in standing position .Tirupati Balaji Temple is considered as one of the eight Vishnu Swayambhu Kshetras and is the last earthly Divya Desam . 

 The Temple holds a rich history . It is believed that lord Vishnu has manifested himself at this place . Thus the temple has got another name Bhuloka Vaikuntam (abode of God Vishnu).Temple has many famous legends . One of them says . During Dvapara Yuga , Adisesha , after losing a contest from Vayu , resided in the form of Seshachalam Hills . After killing Hiranyaksha , Adivarha (form of lord Vishnu) also resided on this hill .

Once a saint Bhrigu went for testing the holy trinity . He wanted to find who is greatest among them . So , he went to Shiva and Brahma but he was not satisfied . So he went to Tirumala Hills , where Vishnu was residing . When he reached there , Adivarha didn't even noticed , Henceforth out of anger , he kicked Adivarha's chest . At this lord Vishnu , apologized the saint and started massaging his feet . Devi Lakshmi felt insulted and so she left Vaikuntam and came to earth for meditation . 
Lord Vishnu , started searching Lakshmi on earth . He found that Lakshmi has taken birth in the family of King as Padmavati . Lord then entered into an ant hill and started meditating . When goddess Lakshmi came to know about it she went to Brahma and Shiva to seek help . Lord Brahma and Shiva than came with her in form of Cow and calf . They then went to lord Vishnu . Shiva in the form of the cow poured its milk inside the anthill to feed the Lord . 

At that time , Venkateshwara and Padmavati met each other and the gods approached the king to give his daughter in marriage to the Lord. Following the marriage, the Lord stayed on the hills of Tirumala . It is believed that kuber gave money to lord Venkateshwara for their marriage . And lord is repaying it and devotees by their donations help the lord .

Tirupati Temple is believed to be the most popular temple in the world . Also, this shrine is the richest among the other temples in the World and the most visited shrine in the World with around 50,000 to 100,000 pilgrims daily .
