JODHA BAI'S PALACE  is the Palace of the principal wife of the Emperor Akbar . The magnificent Palace was built in 1571 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and is located in Dadupura of  Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh .  Often known as Jodha Bai Ka Rauza, this Mahal is one of the most important and largest Palace inside the Harem .

According to history , when Akbar conquered Malwa . He started facing opposition from Rajputs . So to solve the issues he decided to marry a Rajput Princess , Jodha Bai , sister of Rajput ruler Man Singh . Jodha Bai was also known as Hira Kunwari and Harka Bai .  Jodha Bai was the favourite wife of the Emperor Akbar . After their marriage , their was a gradual shift in Akbar's religious policy and social policy . 

Jodha Bai's Palace is designed with a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture . The Palace also consists of distinct Gujarati and Rajasthani patterns .  The Palace is built according to  the Hindu  tradition . The main structure is built around the courtyard . Living quarters are built taking care that the courtyard remains at the centre of the palace . Several  Hindu motifs like swans , parrots and ghant mala are inculcated  in it . The roof of the palace is built with blue stones . The upper structure of the palace consists of chhatris , pillars and semi-circular domes . Whole of the structure is built in red sandstone .

  • Buland Darwaza 

Buland Darwaza, also known as the 'Gate of Magnificence', is one of the largest gateways in the world . This loft gateway at Fatehpur Sikri was built by the great Mughal emperor, Akbar in 1601 . King Akbar built this stunning monument to celebrate his victory on Gujarat.

Panch Mahal is a five level Palace and was built by Emperor Akbar . The palace is located on the north east direction of Jodha Bai's Palace and close to the harem . The palace is famous for its splendid structure and is also known as Wind Tower . This palace was used as a recreational and pleasure palace by the queens and the other ladies of the court
