 Tapkeshwar Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and is located at a distance of 6km from Dehradun . The temple is often referred as Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple . The temple is famous for its  naturally formed Shiva linga inside the cave . The Temple is very popular among devotees and is a must visit place in Dehradun .

A big entry gate welcomes you to the Tapkeshwar Temple . It is after 300 steps , when a devotee could get a glimpse of this spiritual place . The temple also inculcates statues of different god and goddesses and several different temples . The main attraction of this Mahadev Temple is the magnificent statue of Mahabali Hanuman . The Temple is most visited on the occasion of Shivratri .

Tapkeshwar Temple is famous for its self-interest Shivalinga . Yes , self-interest , Although , It's not certain when and by whom it was built . Henceforth , It is believed that Shiva linga situated in the hill cave is not established but it has been revealed itself . The place is also popular due to continuous water trickling from the ceiling on the naturally formed Shivalinga . Thus , the temple is known as Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple . 

According to Mahabharata , It is believed that Acharya Drona got the blessings of lord Shiva  at this place . And  Mahadev himself gave him the knowledge of weapons and complete archery here . Moreover , this temple is considered as the birthplace of Dronaputra Ashwatthama . It is also believed that , once Ashwatthama wanted to drink milk so he meditated for 6 months , and  Shiva gave him a stream of milk and a boon of immortality . It is from then a stream of milk used to flow from the cave . Thus , lord Shiva is also known as  Dudheshwar . But when kalyug started this milk turned into water .

Tiger Falls is one of the highest waterfall in India . This Tourist place is located 98km from the city Dehradun and 20 km from chakrata . It falls from an height of 312 feet . The fall offers splendid views and great place for picnic . Tiger Falls  is named so because of the voice it makes during its fall . 

Robber's Cave

Robber's Cave often known as Gucchu Pani is a cave where lord Shiva is believed to abode . Also the cave is so named because robber's use to keep their stolen belonging here .   This place is best for nature lovers and is one of the must visit place in Uttarakhand .  

Mindrolling Monastery

Mindrolling Monastery is one of the  of the six monasteries of the Nyingma school of Buddhism and was built in 1965 by Khochhen Rinpoche . The place consists of the world's tallest stupa of an height of 60m .  The place is an  excellent example of Buddhist art . This place is located in Dehradun .
